Job summary

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Louisiana or a Compact State, with at least three years of nursing experience and some teaching exposure. Master’s degree preferred; pre-employment background screen is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a current, unencumbered RN license in Louisiana or a Compact State.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience, with at least six months in direct patient care.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course content in classroom and clinical settings to nursing students.
• Follow curriculum guidelines approved by the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners (LSBPNE).
• Provide advisement to assigned students and maintain progress records for each student.
• Evaluate student performance fairly and provide timely feedback on tests and assignments.
• Oversee students’ clinical practice and ensure clinical sites allow students to gain experience.
• Maintain compliance with applicable policies, including pre-employment background checks and professional standards.
