Job summary

The Joe C. Wen School of Nursing at UCLA seeks applicants for a full-time Adjunct Assistant Professor position.

Qualified candidates will hold a Doctorate in nursing (PhD or DNP) and current California RN licensure, with BRN specialty experience in geriatrics, medical‑surgical, psychiatric‑mental health, obstetrics, or pediatrics. The successful candidate will teach in both face-to-face and remote modalities, contribute to curricular design, and participate in scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• PhD or DNP in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current California RN license or ability to obtain by hire date.
• Clinical RN-level experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical, psychiatric-mental health, obstetrics, or pediatrics.
• Teaching experience in an academic setting, in face-to-face or remote formats.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
• Demonstrated leadership to negotiate and solve problems in academic and clinical settings.
• Evidence of innovation in curricular design and online content delivery.

Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses in face-to-face and/or remote modalities.
• Contribute to curricular design and content delivery for the program.
