Langston University invites applications for part-time adjunct nursing faculty to support the BSN program. The successful candidate will teach across didactic, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings, and contribute to student learning and professional development.

The appointment is part-time, course-by-course or semester-based, with assignments that may include evenings or weekends, and requires existing licensure and a clinical nursing background in Oklahoma.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN license in Oklahoma or eligibility for Oklahoma licensure; required licensure must be obtained before the teaching assignment begins.
• Minimum two years of recent clinical experience as an RN.
• Ability to teach and evaluate students effectively in clinical, lab, sim, and classroom settings.
• Ability to use instructional technology and learning-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality didactic, clinical, laboratory, and/or simulation instruction consistent with course objectives and standards.
• Provide safe clinical supervision and oversight of students in assigned settings.
• Evaluate student learning using approved assessment methods and rubrics.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student progress records.
• Provide timely feedback to students and communicate concerns to faculty and leadership.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and culturally responsive teaching strategies.
• Coordinate with lead faculty to promote consistency across sections and sites.
• Participate in orientation, meetings, training, and accreditation activities as requested.
• Assist with student remediation and academic support as appropriate.
• Maintain current clinical competence and professional credentials.
• Serve as a professional role model and uphold conduct with students, staff, and partners.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards; complete onboarding and documentation timely.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dean or Site Director.
