Job summary

West Coast University invites experienced nursing educators to join as a Nursing Academic Specialist. You will guide nursing students through workshops, remediation sessions, and one-on-one coaching to strengthen clinical judgment and academic success.

In collaboration with faculty, you will integrate ATI tools, develop strategies to boost test-taking and study skills, and track student persistence to inform program improvements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing, education or administration required.
• Professional nurse licensure required.
• A minimum of two years as a Registered Nurse providing direct patient care or equivalent and/or education.

Responsibilities

• Guide nursing students through workshops, remediation sessions, and tutorials to improve course performance.
• Ensure full integration of ATI tools and resources in student meetings to enhance remediation and concept understanding.
• Collaborate with faculty to identify course weaknesses and develop innovative initiatives to address them.
• Identify Students at Risk and develop action plans to address persistence needs.
• Track data and intervene to support core course success and persistence.
