Job summary

South College in Orlando is seeking a Nursing Academic Specialist to mentor BSN, ASN, and LPN students, guiding them through didactic content and NCLEX preparation. This on-site role reports to the Nursing Academic Manager and collaborates with nursing faculty to improve retention and success.

You will develop and host concept-based workshops, provide 1:1 support, and lead study sessions, with regular Monday–Friday hours and flexibility for evening or weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or equivalent.
• Unencumbered RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Excellent communication and tutoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group tutoring for nursing students.
• Mentor BSN/ASN/LPN students to mastery of didactic content.
• Develop and host concept-based workshops to improve critical thinking and clinical judgement.
• Support NCLEX preparation and student retention strategies.
• Coordinate with Nursing Academic Manager and faculty.
