Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to plant, irrigate, prune, and harvest trees and shrubs on a farm in Tennessee. Tasks include soil work, transplanting, weeding, trimming, and loading trees for shipment. Will require handling heavy loads and compliance with safety procedures.

Post-hire drug testing will be performed at the employer's expense. A driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles between locations.

Responsibilities

• Manually plant, cultivate, transplant and harvest trees and shrubs.
• Cultivate and till soil, clear debris, apply fertilizers.
• Transplanting trees, weeding, trimming, tying tops, cutting trees, wrapping trunks in protective felt.
• Prepare digging machines, sharpen blades, organize materials, and set up metal baskets.
• Unload, inventory, and pack trees onto trucks; assist with loading.

Job description

Manually plant, cultivate, transplant and harvest trees and shrubs. Duties also include

cultivating and tilling soil, clearing and removing debris from land, applying fertilizers;

transplanting trees, weeding, trimming trees, tying tops of trees, cutting trees, wrapping tree

trunks in protective felt, preparing digging machines, sharpening blades, organizing materials,

preparing, setting metal, cording, and crimping metal baskets, cleaning, grading, sorting, and

packing trees onto trucks. Unloading, inventory, trenching and watering liners daily, cultivating

soil, preparing and planting liners using setter, working with overhead watering system,

trimming, watering, fertilizing, hoeing weeds and mowing between tree rows. Allergens will be

encountered: hay, pollen, dust, etc. Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs and have prior

experience working with june bud peach trees. Driver's license required. Post-hire drug testing

will be provided at the employer's expense.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing will have free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and transportation will be provided to the grocery store weekly.

Transport: Inbound: The employer will provide commercial bus tickets or private van transportation from the consulate city to the place of employment, paid for in advance. After arrival, the employer will reimburse the worker for daily subsistence and transportation costs incurred to the consulate city, at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges. All visa costs will be paid in advance by the employer as required by regulations.

POST-HIRE DRUG SCREEN AT EMPLOYER'S EXPENSE. A driver's license is required. No specific license classification is required. A driver's license is necessary to drive company vehicles (under 26,000 pounds) between farm locations as necessary.
