Job summary

Maiden Erlegh Trust seeks a committed Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team at John Rankin School on a permanent basis. You will support the class lead to enable access to learning, foster wellbeing and promote inclusive practice, both indoors and outdoors.

The role requires safeguarding commitment, strong teamwork and the ability to work with individuals and groups to monitor progress within the EYFS Framework.

Qualifications

• EYFS and child development knowledge essential.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Calm and caring approach with children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of learning in line with EYFS and Development Matters.
• Work within key worker groups to monitor progress and Learning Journeys.
• Support individuals and groups to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Assist with SEND plans and individual programmes.
• Prepare, maintain and organise resources and outdoor learning areas.
