The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission - Montgomery County Parks Department, Horticultural Forestry Environmental and Education Division, is seeking a Nursery Production Assistant to join our team. We are looking for an energetic individual with initiative and a strong work ethic to support our production operations and facility maintenance. This position is located at Pope Farm Nursery (7400 Airpark Road, Gaithersburg, MD), which produces a wide range of plant materials for Montgomery Parks.

Under direct supervision, the successful candidate will collaborate with staff in various production tasks. Responsibilities include:

1. Care and maintenance of plant materials, including container trees, shrubs, and in-ground trees.
2. Facility grounds maintenance.
3. Upsizing container plant material.
4. Moving plant materials.
5. Assisting with pulling and organizing plant orders.
