Job summary

Amfamfit is seeking a Kids Zone Attendant at Short Pump in Richmond, VA to provide a safe, engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire and a preference for at least 1 year of childcare experience. Duties include sign-in/out, daily activities, and clear communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow club policies and emergency procedures; prioritize safety and sound judgment.
• Attend mandatory meetings and arrive early in proper uniform.
• Supervise children aged 6 weeks to 13 years and manage sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Read and respond to parent concerns or refer to a manager as needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning checklists as directed by management.
• Input and manage weekly work schedule in the club's scheduling platform.

Kids Zone Attendant

Job Location: Short Pump - Richmond, VA 23233

Pay Range: $12.77 - $15.00 per hour

Objective: To provide a safe and pleasant environment for members' children.

Reports To: Kids Zone Manager

Criteria: Minimum 1 year of childcare experience preferred. Red Cross CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire. In accordance with Virginia law, salary history will not be requested or used in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Get & keep members.


• Provide the highest quality of customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude at all times. Use the member's name as often as possible.


• Know and adhere to policies as outlined in the training and policy manuals. Know club emergency response protocol and be prepared to act. Exercise sound judgment with safety as a priority.


• Abide by the Service Standards set for your department.


• Attend mandatory meetings.


• Arrive 5 minutes early in proper uniform.


• Read and sign the communication log.


• Provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years of age and ensure proper conduct.


• Follow sign-in and sign-out procedures for children.


• Review the activity calendar and prepare for daily activities.


• Work in and perform duties required for assigned zone.


• Always supervise children attentively. Eating, using cell phones, reading, and other distractions are not permitted in the Kids Zone.


• Handle any parent's concerns immediately or refer to a manager.


• Handle any emergency situations that may occur and communicate with parents and management accordingly. Fill out accident and incident reports appropriately.


• Professionally communicate any necessary information to parents when picking up their child(ren).


• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning checklists and follow procedures as outlined by management.


• Professionally answer incoming phone calls and properly record baby reservations.


• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.


• Input and manage your weekly work schedule in the club's scheduling platform by established deadlines, maintaining full accountability for schedule accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to club staffing need.
