Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware is seeking a customer-focused Sales Associate in Chattanooga, TN to support garden and landscaping needs. You will help customers, maintain displays and assist with cashier duties, with a flexible schedule including weekends.

Key duties include stocking, unloading trucks, merchandising, and responding to radio requests, while upholding store policies and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, gardens experience preferred.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills.

• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder's policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
