Job summary

Villa at Willow Place is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager RN to join their team. The RN will manage day-to-day nursing activities to ensure high-quality care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating with admin and therapy, maintaining standards, performing rounds, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting a collaborative, compassionate work environment.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the nursing staff, scheduling breaks, reassigning employees as needed, writing performance reviews, and enforcing policies with coaching/corrective actions.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy, and other departments to plan care.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes rounds to monitor resident conditions and ensure staff adherence to standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
• Keeps areas, rooms and treatment spaces clean and sanitary.
• Contributes to QA/PI actions to correct identified deficiencies.
• Completes administrative tasks such as forms, reports and charting.
• Interprets restorative care policies to staff, residents and families.
• Provides direct nursing care when required and documents care provided.
