Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager RN to lead day-to-day nursing activities at Spring Meadows A Villa Center in Ohio. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality care through assessment, planning, and evaluation of the care plan, while supervising staff and coordinating with administration and therapies.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with preference for long-term care and MDS experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Current RN license to practice in the State.
• CPR certification is required.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the nursing staff, scheduling breaks, reassigning employees, writing performance reviews and enforcing policies.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department and other related departments in planning care.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes rounds to note resident conditions and ensure staff follow nursing standards.
• Gives and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
• Ensures care areas and rooms are clean and sanitary.
• Assists QA Committee in action plans to correct deficiencies.
• Performs administrative duties such as forms, reports, and charting.
• Interprets restorative care policies to personnel, residents and families.
• Provides direct nursing care as necessary.
• Documents data per Medicare/Medicaid standards.
• Completes admission, transfer and discharge forms.
