Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required

Responsibilities

• Provides unit-based leadership in the development and provision of clinical services.
• Supervises and directs unit personnel and coordinates conferences with health team members, patients, and families.
• Ensures cost-effective, high-quality patient care and maintains patient safety.
• Participates in patient care as needed and fosters patient- and family-centered care.
• Ensures compliance with safety goals and quality measures; participates in Performance Improvement teams.
