Qualifications

• BSN degree and WI RN licensure required.
• Approximately 6 months RN practice after graduation to reinforce content.
• Knowledge of nursing science and related skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
• Commitment to high-quality instruction in a diverse, student-centered environment.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Consult with students to assess needs and provide resources.
• Supplement understanding outside class in nursing topics.
• Maintain knowledge of course material and teaching methods.
• Conduct small-group or one-on-one tutorials in-person or virtual.
• Assist with study skills and time-management strategies for exams.
• Maintain documentation of student interactions and progress notes.
• Create supplemental instructional materials to reinforce concepts.
• Locate and evaluate media/tools to support student success.
• Collaborate with faculty to provide study resources and guidance.
