Job summary

Dignity Health's Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento is seeking a Manager, Patient Transport to lead 24/7 operations, ensuring safe, patient-centered transport and efficient service delivery. You will design staffing patterns, oversee budgets, recruit and develop staff, and collaborate with clinicians to align transport services with patient care goals and financial objectives.

Qualifications

BSN or equivalent education/experience required.
Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
Registered Nurse with CA license.
BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Recruits, retains and develops qualified staff in the Patient Transportation department.
Demonstrates organizational skill to develop departmental goals and priorities.
Provides oversight of transport services to maintain patient flow and supervise staff.
Relates cooperatively with physicians, patients, families, and hospital staff.
Collaborates with clinical and other department staff to align transport with patient care.
Provides direct instruction in patient transportation.
