Job summary

Gallagher Bassett in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Case Manager to provide medical management for workers' compensation injuries. You will perform case management via telephonic contact with medical providers, employers, claims professionals, and ancillary service providers to help restore employees to pre-injury status.

You will coordinate evaluation, treatment, and home care, communicating with all stakeholders about status, recommendations, and any required adjustments.

Qualifications

• Must have degree from an applicable program and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Active Registered Nursing license in the state of practice or states where case management is performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical management for workers' compensation injuries and perform case management via telephonic contact with providers, employers, and claims professionals.
• Manage medical care to return injured employees to pre-injury status; coordinate evaluation, treatment, and counseling as needed.
• Communicate with physician, injured worker, employer, referral source, and others involved in the rehabilitation process.
• Identify suitable home care needs and coordinate home modifications or equipment as appropriate.
• Document case management observations, assessment, and plan in the system and participate in conferences and training.
