Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Nurse Technician to join our compassionate team. You will support nursing staff with basic patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Take and document vital signs and intake/output measurements.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and paging systems.

At Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown, 64-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

How You'll Contribute

The Nurse Technician provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.

Essential Functions

• Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements

• Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
