Job summary

Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital in New York is seeking a Rehab Tech to support therapists by preparing treatment areas, assisting patients, and transporting during sessions.

This brand-new 62-bed IRF, opened now, offers comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and opportunities to grow as part of Lifepoint Health's coast-to-coast network.

The role is PRN with duties including equipment cleaning, inventory, and clerical support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• CPR/BCLS Certification required.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in patient rooms, Therapy Gym and common areas.
• Prepare patients for prescribed treatment and assist licensed staff.
• Maintain and clean treatment areas and equipment.
• Procure and track inventory of therapy supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks for the Therapy Department.

How You'll Contribute

The Rehab Tech is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies, transporting, and assisting patients and therapist.

• Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.
• Other duties as assigned
