Job summary

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehabilitation unit. This full-time day-shift role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, interdisciplinary care, and discharge planning to support stroke, brain injury, and orthopedic patients.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus plus a robust benefits package. Candidates must have an accredited nursing degree, RN license, CPR/BCLS; ACLS and CRRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred. CRRN preferred.
• Minimum six months Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides patient and family teaching throughout rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient condition and age.

At Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown, 64-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team

What We're Looking For

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Essential Functions

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualifications and requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
