Job summary

FMOL Health is seeking a Nurse Tech to assist with basic patient care and activities of daily living under close supervision of a registered nurse. The role includes taking vital signs, preparing supplies, and supporting nursing staff to maintain patient comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates are nursing students in good standing, enrolled in an accredited RN or LPN program, with BLS certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Student Nurse in good standing with completion of basic patient skills within nursing program.
• Must be a student nurse currently enrolled in either RN- or LPN-accredited program with required level.
• Student Nurse in good standing within an accredited program.
• Communication, Customer Service, computer Skills and Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
• Take and record vital signs and report to the RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
• Assist with transporting and mobility needs of patients.
• Retrieve medications and deliver to nurse or place in secure location.
• Keep patient rooms and nursing station areas clean and orderly.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and tests; collect specimens and transport to lab.
• Perform procedures under supervision of RN within scope of nursing education.
• Adhere to nursing standards and institutional policies to improve quality of care.
• Observe patient changes and promptly report to the assigned nurse or charge nurse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
