Job summary

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a full-time Nurse Technician for the night shift to provide essential patient care and support. In this role, you will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with daily living activities, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

How you'll contribute

A Nurse Tech who excels in this role:

  • Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
  • Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.
  • Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
  • Documents care and activities per unit standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
  • Certifications: BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak).
  • Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
  • Licenses: SRNA or EMT preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma preferred.
