Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Nurse Tech for Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri. The role supports patient care under the direction of registered nurses and performs selected clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a nursing education program and has completed a fundamentals of nursing course.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and interventions as delegated by the nurse.
• Report outcomes and changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Collaborate with the nurse in the plan of care.
• Report observations regarding effectiveness of intervention to the nurse.
• Communicate effectively with patient, family, physicians, and health care team.
• Apply safety and infection control measures.
• Documentation of patient care in the clinical record.
• Pursue continuing education as assigned.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/ or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
