Job summary

Mary Free Bed is seeking a Nurse Technician for the Ortho Trauma/Amputee unit on the 3rd shift in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves assisting with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and participating in a rotating 36-hour week schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.

Starting pay is $18 per hour, with potential increases based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and merit-based raises.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Course for HealthCare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Collect and monitor vital signs and document in patient records.
• Assist with hygiene, catheterization, and other routine tasks as trained.
• Ensure patient safety and respond promptly to call lights.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team.
