Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) for a full-time day or night position. The role supports nursing staff, performs basic patient care tasks, and helps with data collection and mobility while you advance toward RN licensure.

Requirements include current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) and proof of completion of the first year or fundamentals of nursing; BLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN).
• Proof of completion of first year/fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent).
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with daily care such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars and routine specimen collection.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN and manage IVs safely.
• Deliver meals, assist feeding, and document oral intake.
• Turn immobile patients and assist with mobility and positioning.
• Transport patients to treatment centers as needed.
