Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center is seeking a Nurse Technician to support patients with complex behavioral and medical needs within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary care team. You will perform direct patient care, IV starts, catheter care, EKG monitoring, and phlebotomy under RN guidance, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes hands-on clinical skills, teamwork, and meticulous documentation in a challenging behavioral health environment.

• Strong clinical skills in IV placement
• Foley catheter care
• EKG performance and interpretation support
• Phlebotomy
• Total ADL care with thorough documentation
• Ability to multitask in a high-acuity behavioral health setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care, including ADLs and documentation
• Perform IV placement as directed by licensed nursing staff
• Perform Foley catheter insertion, maintenance, and care
• Conduct and monitor EKGs, reporting abnormal findings promptly
• Perform phlebotomy for lab specimen collection
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the care team
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Total ADL care with documentation

Educación

Maryland CNA license (CNA II)

BLS certification (AHA)

1-3 years patient care experience

Basic computer & documentation skills
