Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, active nursing license in the state.

• Knowledge of federal/state/local regulations governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and supervise nursing staff.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures; participate in QA activities.
• Complete and review medical records, orders, and documentation with accuracy.
• Administer medications as ordered and verify patient identity.
• Coordinate resident care plans and communicate with physicians and families.
• Participate in safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness procedures.
• Develop staffing plans and supervise performance evaluations of nursing personnel.
• Oversee discharge planning and coordination with other departments.
