Job summary

Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Connecticut is seeking a Full-Time Staff Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs/GNAs under nursing leadership. Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in Connecticut.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and be willing to supervise other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel.
• Provide education and counseling, perform disciplinary action as necessary, and complete performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations governing the Center.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities in collaboration with staff.
• Participate in discharge planning and quality assurance activities.

Education
