Job summary

Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare in New Milford, CT is seeking a Full-Time Staff Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs/GNAs. Candidates must hold an active CT RN or LPN license and possess a nursing degree or LPN/RN program graduate status.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/RN program.
• Must be licensed in CT as an RN or LPN.
• Ability to supervise CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel while providing education and counseling.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing functions in accordance with current rules and guidelines.
• Supervise CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel; complete performance evaluations.
• Discipline and warnings for violations of center rules and policies.
• Plan shifts, services, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and center surveys.
