Job summary
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide nursing clinical supervision and leadership within the MH Forensic Division. You will oversee licensed and non-licensed staff, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care and adherence to the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Compliance with nursing policies, staff development, and collaboration with medical and administrative leadership are essential.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners Nurse Practice Act and nursing care standards.
- Knowledge of pharmacology including psychopharmacology.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise staff to deliver patient-centered care.
- Provide clinical leadership and evidence-based decision making.
- Lead assigned staff to meet productivity targets.
- Supervise RNs, LVNs and non-licensed staff as per program design.
- Participate in hiring and performance evaluations.
- Mentor and coach nursing staff for improved performance.
- Promote interprofessional collaboration across disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and nursing process.
