Description

1. Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met.
2. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity, providing quality care as their healthcare needs change.
3. Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming roles of Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements.
4. Assists in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers; provides ongoing training and education, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Also manages staff schedules.
5. Oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision and/or administration, conducting periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits per Brookdale Guidelines.
6. Shares on-call duties as required.
7. Possesses education to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and has a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.
8. Holds an LPN or LVN license.
