Nurse Supervisor/Infection Preventionist

As a Nurse Supervisor/Infection Preventionist, you will lead our dedicated team of nurses in providing exceptional care to our residents in a state-of-the-art skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.
Responsibilities:
As a Certified Infection Preventionist, or willing to complete the infection preventionist certification, this candidate:
- Logs, trends, and tracks both facility and community acquired infections
- Chairs the facility Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Conducts routine root-cause analysis on hospitalizations and infections
- Audit staff competencies as it relates to infection control
Additionally, as a Nurse Supervisor, you will:
- Oversees the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner
- Manages a team of nurses, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality care
- Conducts regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Collaborates with other departments, including social services, dining, and activities, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
- Develops and implement personalized care plans for each resident, incorporating their unique needs and preferences
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Assists with the new Admission process
- Participates in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support to residents and their families
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and caregivers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and safety
