Job summary

Senior Health Care Facility in Natick, MA is seeking a Nurse Supervisor/Infection Preventionist to lead our nursing team and oversee the infection prevention program. The selected candidate will log and trend infections, chair the Antibiotic Stewardship Program, perform root-cause analyses, and audit staff competencies.

Qualifications

• Current MA RN license required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years as RN, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Logs, trends, and tracks facility and community acquired infections as Infection Preventionist.
• Chairs the facility Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Conducts routine root-cause analysis on hospitalizations and infections.
• Audits staff competencies related to infection control.
• Oversees daily nursing department operations and ensures timely, high-quality care.
• Manages a team of nurses, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Conducts regular assessments to identify areas for improvement and implements changes.
• Collaborates with social services, dining, activities to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develops and implements personalized resident care plans.
• Maintains accurate records and reports per regulatory standards.
• Assists with the new Admission process.
• Participates in on-call rotation, providing 24/7 resident support.
