Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), with at least 1-2 years in a surgical or circulating nurse role.
• RN license in the state of employment.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification may be required depending on the clinical setting.
• CNOR certification may be preferred for surgical roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
• Supervises nursing staff and clinical team in a surgical aesthetics setting.

We are seeking a fulltime motivated and skilled Nurse Supervisorto join our team. The Nurse Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in overseeing clinical nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting both the medical team and administrative functions. This role combines clinical expertise, team leadership, and operational management to enhance patient safety, efficiency, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care Management

• Oversees pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
• Ensures safe and effective nursing practices that align with plastic surgery protocols.
• Provides direct patient care, including assessments, wound care, IV therapy, and administering medications.
• Assists in minor surgical procedures, non-surgical treatments, and emergency responses.

Staff Supervision & Training

• Supervises and manages the nursing team, medical assistants, and other clinical staff.
• Conducts training and onboarding for new nurses on clinic procedures and protocols.
• Ensures staff compliance with infection control, sterilization, and patient safety guidelines.
• Provides mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.

Compliance & Accreditation Oversight

• Ensures clinic adherence to healthcare regulations, including AAAHC, Medicare, OSHA, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements.
• Oversees charting and documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains surgical facility accreditation standards and prepares for audits or inspections.

Surgical & Non-Surgical Procedure Support

• Assists surgeons during cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
• Ensures proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Oversees anesthesia protocols and patient monitoring during procedures.
• Provides post-operative education and follow-up care instructions to patients.

Patient Experience & Education

• Acts as a key point of contact for patients regarding pre- and post-operative care.
• Provides education on procedures, risks, recovery timelines, and self-care.
• Ensures a compassionate and professional patient experience.

Inventory & Resource Management

• Manages ordering, stocking, and inventory of medical supplies, medications, and surgical tools.
• Ensures proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Works with vendors to negotiate pricing and maintain cost efficiency.

Collaboration with the Medical & Administrative Teams

• Works closely with plastic surgeons, anesthetists, and patient coordinators to ensure seamless patient care.
• Assists with developing and updating clinical policies and procedures.
• Communicates with administrative teams to ensure alignment between patient care and business operations.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), with at least 1-2 years of experience in a surgical or circulating nurse role, preferably in a plastic surgery, dermatology, or cosmetic surgery setting.
• Experience with plastic surgery procedures, such as facelifts, breast augmentations, liposuction, and rhinoplasty is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical expertise in perioperative nursing and plastic surgery care.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations & accreditation standards.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required, depending on the clinical setting.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (e.g., CNOR) may be preferred for surgical roles.
• Leadership & team management abilities.
• Excellent patient communication & education skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems & medical documentation.
• Critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
