Responsibilities

Position Summary

Plans the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit during an assigned shift. Supervises nursing staff, assigns patients based on condition and skill level, anticipates staffing needs, and oversees supply stocking and patient record updates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing staff assigned to a shift, assigns patients considering their condition and skill level.
• Assesses, monitors, and educates staff on patient care; institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
• Anticipates staffing needs proactively.
• Oversees stocking of supplies and updates patient records for upcoming shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).
• At least two (2) years of clinical RN experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Additional credentials may be required.

Pay Range

$57.41 - $78.72 per hour
