As our Medical Telemetry Nurse Shift Manager, you will help lead and coordinate our exceptional nursing team so they can deliver timely, compassionate, and life‑saving care to patients in critical situations.
Every day you willoversee patient flow, allocate resources efficiently, manage staffing assignments, and address any immediate clinical or operational challenges that arise.You will be expected tofoster a collaborative and supportive work environment, mentor and supervise nursing staff, ensure adherence to protocols and safety standards, and act as a crucial point of contact for interdepartmental communication.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical expertise in emergency nursing, demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
The Medical‑Surgical Unit at Mercy Hospital of Folsom is a 21‑bed unit caring for a diverse population of post‑surgical Medical‑Surgical and Telemetry patients, with admissions primarily coming from PACU and the Emergency Department.
