Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric ambulatory surgery network in New York. You will provide postoperative and post-anesthesia care in the recovery room, monitor patients, and communicate patient status with the dental and anesthesia teams.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, has graduated from an accredited nursing program, and demonstrates strong nursing process knowledge along with BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
