Job summary

Valley View Village, a Cassia community, is seeking PRN Nurses (RN or LPN) to join our caregiving team in Des Moines, IA. New grads welcome and flexible scheduling are available.

You will administer medications, deliver high-quality resident care, document care, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for our older adults.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Iowa RN or LPN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Coordinatе, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administers medications and/or treatments per physician's orders and monitors effectiveness.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment per policies and procedures.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.

Nurse Responsibilities

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Works to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Nurse Qualifications

• Must have a current IowaRN or LPN license and be in good standing.
• Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
