Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the nursing process and implements care plans.
• Performs direct nursing services and assists with assessments.
• Delegates care to nursing assistants and provides guidance.
• Performs health teaching and rehabilitation for residents.
• Consults with the RN and records pertinent information.
• Reports safety hazards and assumes team leader duties.
• Communicates resident care needs to involved personnel.
• Engages in professional development and attends in-service programs.
• Communicates resident care needs and approach to other personnel involved in care.
• Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development; plans and/or participates in conferences and classes to improve knowledge and practice resident care; attends in-service programs and monthly staff meetings that are provided to facilitate compliance with government regulations. Participates in the nursing service quality assurance program.
• Interprets philosophy and objectives of the facility and the nursing service to residents, families, and other employees when necessary.
• Other duties upon request.

The Job Responsibilities include

• Contributes to the nursing process, and implements a resident plan of care.
