Job summary

AHRC New York City offers nursing opportunities at its two upstate summer camps, The Lodge in East Jewett and Camp Anne in Ancramdale. Nurses provide on-site care in a supportive, camp-style environment, with shifts arranged over a six-day week and a live-in option for non-locals.

Positions include RN and LPN roles with competitive weekly salaries. CPR and First Aid certifications are required or provided if needed. Camp runs for ~10 weeks with various sessions and nearby leisure opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN degree completed or in progress
• New York State nursing license required
• Current CPR for the Professional and First Aid certification (on-site provided if needed)
• Six-day work week with daily shifts; live-in option available
• Camp setting experience is a plus, willingness to work with youth and families

Responsibilities

• Review camper medical records and coordinate with parents and staff to create health plans
• Ensure health and safety of campers and staff at all times
• Provide medical care and triage as needed within the camp health center
• Maintain accurate documentation for prescriptions, treatments, and incident reports
• Dispense medication and manage daily sick calls
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
