Responsibilities

  • Coordinates care with interdisciplinary treatment team throughout assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Performs physical examinations, health histories, nursing assessments, and routine patient observations.
  • Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments.
  • Safely operates standard critical care equipment.
  • Recognizes and responds to life-threatening emergencies, including administering emergency medications and using defibrillation or other emergency treatments.
  • Documents assessments, procedures, care provided, patient conditions, and responses to treatment.
  • Updates individualized plans of care based on changes in patient condition and treatment response.
  • Provides patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, wellness, and follow-up care.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and manages individualized, patient-centered care focused on promoting and restoring health. Using the nursing process, the RN delivers direct patient care while supporting positive health outcomes and patient education.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

    • Safely operates standard critical care equipment.
    • Recognizes and responds appropriately to life-threatening emergencies, including administering emergency medications and using defibrillation or other emergency treatments.
    • Documents assessments, procedures, care provided, patient conditions, and responses to treatment.
    • Updates individualized plans of care based on changes in patient condition and treatment response.
    • Provides patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, wellness, and follow-up care.
    • Adheres to OSHA guidelines, safety standards, and established quality-control practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the department.
