Premier Health is seeking an experienced Risk Manager -- REGISTERED NURSE to join our Risk Management team in Dayton, Ohio. This key leadership role focuses on advancing patient safety, quality outcomes, and reduction of risk across Premier Health and Premier Physician Network.

The Nurse Risk Manager serves as a consultant to physicians and leaders, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, with a hybrid work arrangement and strong in-person collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's degree in a related healthcare or business field preferred.
• Current Ohio Registered Nursing License.
• 3-5 years of job-related experience with progressive management in healthcare.
• Preferred background in nursing law or insurance/claims.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must live within one hour of Dayton, Ohio area.

Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians and clinical leadership to identify and mitigate patient safety risks.
• Lead system and hospital-level risk identification, education, and training initiatives.
• Facilitate reviews of adverse events and patient complaints with physicians to identify improvements.
• Advise physicians on risk management best practices, documentation standards, and disclosure.
• Develop and maintain proactive risk management strategies to support high-quality care.
• Manage the litigation process for claims involving Premier Health in coordination with legal teams.
• Collaborate with leaders on initiatives to reduce liability and protect assets.
• Support policy development, regulatory compliance, and clinical practice improvement.
• Analyze risk trends and clinical data to implement evidence-based safety solutions.
