Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Resident for a 12-month program designed to ease new graduates into practice across inpatient areas and the OR.

The residency includes mentoring by preceptors, cohort-based classes, and specialized orientation. Employment is full-time with 8/12-hour shifts, weekend rotation, and shift differentials. This entry-level residency supports growth within UW Health's Magnet-designated facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum – ADN, BSN or MSN completed within the previous 12 months.
• Preferred– BSN completed within the previous 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 12-month nurse resident program designed to help new graduates move confidently into practice.
• Be hired in inpatient and other clinical practice areas including adult and pediatric populations.
• Experience an orientation with mentoring by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists and join monthly nurse resident classes.
