Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking an Inpatient Nurse Resident to join a 12-month program designed to transition new graduate RNs into independent practice across inpatient areas including medicine, surgery, critical care, ED and OR.

You’ll receive orientation with mentoring by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists, plus monthly nurse resident classes to address clinical challenges and available resources for practice growth.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN completed within the previous 12 months.
• RN license in the state of Wisconsin. Current CPR/BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency designed to transition new graduates into practice.
• Rotate through inpatient medical, surgical, critical care, psychiatric, ED and OR areas as applicable.
• Receive orientation with mentoring by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists.
• Attend monthly nurse resident classes to problem-solve clinical challenges and learn available resources.

Education
