HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is offering a Nurse Residency Program to transition student nurses to registered nurses with structured training and mentorship. The program includes hands-on clinical experiences, monthly education, and preceptorship to build confidence and competence.

The RN Resident works with a care team to provide individualized, evidence-based care, aligning with state standards and nursing models.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• RN License or Graduate Nurse in the State.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications and follow-up.
