Job description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

• 10K Sign-On Bonus with a 2-year commitment

The registered nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total care of assigned clients in the respective unit. This nurse is responsible for assessment, reassessment, establishment of nursing diagnoses, formulation of the written plan of care, implementation of care, and evaluation of care. The nurse initiates health care training and education for the client and family as required, supporting the goals of Andalusia Health and the Department of Nursing. The registered nurse demonstrates awareness of ongoing needs of the unit and provides leadership and direction to other team members to maintain optimal standards of nursing care. This position supervises other licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel within the assigned units.

The role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuity of care and appropriate nursing coverage for all patients at Andalusia Health. The nurse provides care to a diverse patient population, with consideration for age-specific needs and diagnoses.

Qualifications

Associate's degree required.

Required Skills

• Ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
• Verbal communication skills to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice.
• Responsibility and accountability in providing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care on assigned units, demonstrating leadership qualities.
• Practical and cognitive ability to provide appropriate nursing care considering patient age and diagnosis, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Licenses

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.

Additional Requirements

• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
