Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collects patient data and completes required forms according to unit standards; identifies patient’s problems/needs and sets priorities; interprets and records diagnostic results under the direct supervision of the licensed RN.
• Develops a plan of care based on nursing process and includes patient/family; makes referrals under direct supervision of the licensed RN.
• Provides treatments and procedures according to patient care standards; explains nursing procedures; provides discharge teaching; initiates advanced therapy as needed; acts as advocate and coordinator of patient care under RN supervision.
• Records patient care delivered as planned and notes variations with rationale; implements nursing measures under supervision of the RN.
• Delegates nursing care; participates in QI processes; supports staffing decisions based on census and acuity; documents issues.
• Graduate Nurse completes all clinical skills under the direct supervision of a licensed RN; performs other duties as assigned.
