Job summary

ChristianaCare is offering a Nurse Residency Float Pool program for recent graduates and new RNs. The 12‑month residency includes preceptor‑led training across medical, surgical, and step‑down units with a structured pathway and annual orientation.

Successful completion requires licensure as an RN in Delaware and a commitment on hire. You’ll rotate among units at Christiana and Wilmington Hospitals, complete required assessments, and participate in residency meetings during months 8, 10, and 12.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• Less than 12 months of nursing experience by start of program.
• Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse before start date.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete required assessments and rank units for the residency.
• Float between Wilmington and Christiana Hospitals on medical, surgical, step‑down, and transitional units.
• Meet program milestones and participate in ongoing residency meetings.
