Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL seeks a Nurse Resident for Acute Care. This 12‑month program supports RNs with under one year of experience, working nights in a 3‑12s schedule within Trauma Med Surg.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient‑centered care and transition toward independent practice. The role requires Florida RN licensure, current BLS, and completion of nursing school.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Florida with active license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care under supervision of a preceptor and charge nurse.
• Assesses needs and develops care plans; evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents care accurately and per regulatory standards.
• Participates in the Nurse Residency Program and ongoing education.
