POSITION PURPOSE: The Regional Nurse Manager is responsible for the success and effective clinical operations across multiple locations withing a designated region. This leadership role oversees clinical staff including Medical Assistants (MA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Registered Nurses (RN) - ensuring high standards of patient care, customer service, and regulatory compliance.

This position provides strong, strategic leadership by supporting the onboarding, training, and ongoing education of clinical staff, while maintaining accountability for performance and service excellence. The Regional Nurse Manager brings a deep understanding of the organization's culture and mission, driving quality care through clinical initiatives and process improvements.

In collaboration with Nursing, Clinical and Administrative leadership, the Regional Nurse Manager helps to execute a shared vision of nursing excellence. The role champions interdisciplinary collaboration, supports staff engagement, and promotes initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and safety.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Graduated from an accredited College or University with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.

Licensure & Certification:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida. Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in staff supervision, evaluation, development, and training, with in-depth knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing healthcare and nursing practice. Effectively communicate across all organizational levels and disciplines. Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships while navigating complex personnel dynamics. Solve problems proactively and facilitate timely resolutions of conflicts and operational challenges. Inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance through accountability, recognition, and professional growth opportunities. Plan, organize, and direct staff activities to align with departmental goals and organizational priorities. Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that improve clinical quality, operational efficiency, a nd patient safety. Optimize resource management while enhancing staff engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES (THIS IS AN EXEMPT POSITION)

  • Quality of Care
  • Review records of nurses supervised to ensure quality and safe care.
  • Shadow nurses to observe the quality of care provided .
  • Complete patient tracers using checklists at assigned sites or locations monthly.
  • Report results of tracers to supervisor and at appropriate committee meetings.
  • Implement strategies from the performance i mprovement and population health team to review clinical metrics, address gap s in care, and support UDS requirements.
  • Implement initiatives to maintain compliance with HRSA guidelines, Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPPA, and state regulations.
  • Attend Performance Improvement Council (PIC) and related meetings for Performance Care Improvement (PI).
  • Direct Care
  • Complete at least two half days of scheduled nurse patient visits per week with a goal of satisfying 6-8 UDS measurable visits per day.
  • Visit health centers at least twice a month to collaborate with the clinical team to provide patient care.
  • Collaborate with clinical team to implement/conduct Shared Medical Group Visit (i.e. Diabetic and Hypertension).
  • Equipment and Supplies Oversight
  • Review and approve purchase orders.
  • Consistently ensures appropriate functioning of department equipment.
  • Ensure clinician competency with the use of equipment.
  • Supervisory Meeting Management
  • Consistently schedules and leads supervised clinical support group meetings.
  • Supervisory meetings are deemed valuable and productive by direct reports.
