Job description

Job Details

Job Location: Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute - LEAWOOD, KS 66211

Position Type: Full Time

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned and have been serving the Kansas City area for 25 years. KCOI was recently named a 2024 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey, which places us in the top 5% of healthcare providers in delivering patient experience. Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes and outstanding patient experience!

We're seeking a full-time Quality Reporting Specialist to join our Risk, Quality & Compliance team at a focused specialty orthopedic hospital and take ownership of KCOI’s regulatory quality reporting.

You’ll independently manage the accurate, timely submission of CMS IQR and Hospital Harm eCQMs, Promoting Interoperability, Hybrid Measures, THA/TKA PRO-PM, NHSN data, HCAHPS, and related federal/state reports. You’ll partner with clinical leaders and IT to strengthen documentation and data capture, stay ahead of regulatory changes, and help protect our public quality metrics.

This role offers meaningful autonomy, a collaborative smaller-hospital environment, and the chance to contribute to broader quality initiatives as time allows.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Registered Nurse with solid clinical experience and direct knowledge of CMS reporting (IQR, eCQMs, NHSN, or similar). BSN and CPHQ preferred.

We provide a generous benefit plan, including:

  • 6 Paid Holidays (time and a half for anyone who works the holiday)
  • PTO (40 hours accrue full 7.08 per pay period, less than 40 hours is a pro-rated accrual)
  • Annual merit increases
  • Employer discretionary bonuses
  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Wellness program with abilities to reduce premiums for the following year
  • HSA/FSA option
  • Company Paid Life and Long-Term Disability insurance
  • 401(K) with a substantial company match
  • Optional Voluntary Benefits plans
  • Employee Assistance Program

If you want ownership of important work in a supportive specialty setting, we’d love to talk.
